Father of Brighid, Ainge and Echtgi

Father of Bodhbh Dearg.

 

The Good God,

Noble one of full might,

Horse-rider Ample Father,

King of the circling stars,

Sweet-sounding radiant king.

 

Fiery yellow one,

Fire of god,

Red one of great knowledge,

Blazing lustrous one,

Brazier of the noble ether.

 

He who has the wholeness,

Perfection of science,

He who transcends all,

Skilled in all arts,

Assigner of the Sith,

 

He who enumerates judgements,

Giver of true judgement,

Just-dealing lord of the feast,

Condemmer of Corrgenn,

He, who cannot do that which is unlawful,

Reproacher of inhospitality,

 

Champion of the host,

He of the battering blows,

First warrior of battle,

Strong vehement mighty one,

Master of injurious craft,

Wielder of power,

The Striker,

Vanquisher of the Darkness of The Ocean,

He who offers tribute on the Stone of Benn,

Defender of Nuadha,

Slayer of Cirb,

Swift with poison.

Horned man,

Lord of the good earth,

Hardy, firm and resolute,

Ruler of the powerful land,

Man of the peak,

Trace of heel on every stone,

Mark of axe on every oak,

He of the one desire,

Regeneration of the earth.

 

Harper of the three strains,

He who summons the seasons,

Possessor of the oak of two meadows, The four-angled music,

He, whose might is seen in the skies,

Whose voice is heard in the heavens,

He who stays the sun,

Commander of light and darkness.

He, who forestalls hunger and thirst. (Cont’d….)

 

Leader of cattle,

Restorer of the herds,

Large bellied one,

He who is broader than half a plain,

Great warrior of the belly,

Possessor of the Coire Ansaic (Undry Cauldron),

From whom no company leaves unsated,

Giver of the three best parts of the portion.

 

Builder of forts,

Maker of the Brugh,

Clearer of twelve plains,

Channeller of twelve rivers,

 

Giver of life and death,

Wielder of the lorg anfaidh (mace of wrath)

Preserver of flesh,

He who cries tears of blood,

He who bears the dead.
